Homeowners had inherited a tiered decking that broke up the townhome’s backyard into visually blocked sections, making the backyard look smaller. The unevenness of the yard also made it hard for the homeowner’s small children to safely use the yard. The goal was to open up the play and entertainment space in the backyard while keeping the children’s safety in mind.
